Terry Ananny

Terry Ananny is a Canadian artist and painter born in 1956 in Toronto, Ontario. She showed an early interest in art and moved to Ottawa in 1975 to study at Carleton University. She attended art classes and group showings with the Ottawa Art Association and discovered the work of the Group of Seven, Marc A Fortin, Clarence Gagnon, Henri Masson and Emily Carr at the National Gallery of Canada. Their work helped to inspire and develop her own vibrant style which continues to evolve. Her subjects often feature domestic scenes, townscapes, landscapes and figurative work. Her paintings have been reproduced on Unicef Cards and are held in many prominent collections worldwide. Many galleries in Canada and the United States have exhibited her work over the past three decades.
